About me

I chose Optometry as a career after working for my family doctor during my first two years of college. I enjoy the personal interaction with my patients and the ability to improve their vision and quality of life. Kaiser Permanente offers the opportunity for me as an Optometrist to work closely with all of my patients’ health care providers. While in clinic with you, I will try to focus on listening to each of your concerns and making sure that I have addressed your questions upon completion of my examination.

I have practiced for over 30 years in various eye care venues. I joined Kaiser Permanente in the fall of 2005. My clinical interests involve contact lenses, computer vision and general eye care. When I'm away from work I enjoy spending time with my family. My interests include walking and hiking, golf, tennis, fine dining, travel, and attending theater and sporting events.

My Education and Certification:

Undergraduate Education BS in Optometry, UC Berkeley
Graduate Education Doctor of Optometry, UC Berkeley
Certification Theurapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
