About Me

I was born in Santa Monica, CA, and raised in Orange County. At California State University Long Beach, I graduated in 1978 with a BA degree in Psychology. At Pepperdine University I graduated in 1982 with a MA in Psychology and at California Coast University I graduated in 1993 with a Ph.D. in Psychology. I worked as a Program Coordinator for Sacramento County Division of Mental Health in both adult and children’s services from 1989 to 2003. I joined the Permanente Medical Group on a full time basis in 2003. I am licensed by the California Board of Psychology and by the California Board of Behavioral Science. I serve as a Child Psychologist and co-therapist for the Folsom Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program. Adolescent IOP provides services to children and adolescents who are in need of intensive treatment because of acute psychiatric problems. Individual, family and group treatment is available 2 to 3 times a week. Adolescent IOP is available in Sacramento, Roseville and Folsom. I have a special interest in adolescent mood disorders and behavioral therapy.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
