I hope this home page is useful for getting to know me and helping you to stay healthy!

My Background

I was born in Oakland, California, and raised nearby, in Berkeley. I received my undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a master's degree in medical anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. During medical school at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), I married my high school prom date. We live in Berkeley with our son, two dogs and two chickens. While I was a resident at UCSF, I was fortunate to spend some time training at Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek and knew immediately that I wanted to be part of the excellent team based there. I joined Kaiser Permanente after finishing residency in 2003.

In my free time I spend lots of time in my garden, growing flowers and vegetables. I'm also a music lover, and I play jazz piano. I enjoy spending time outdoors and with my family. I look forward to getting to know you better at your next visit!

My Practice

My practice has three parts: 1) General Ob/Gyn outpatient clinic, including prenatal care 2) All types of gynecological surgery, both inpatient and outpatient 3) Inpatient obstetrical care, including delivering babies

I enjoy the variety in my day, and the freedom I have within the Kaiser Permanente system to personalize care for my patients. I am committed to the Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy of disease prevention, and am here to help you take full advantage of all the services we have to offer. I am a board certified fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
