My Qualifications

I attended the University of California at Berkeley, majoring in Integrative Biology. I attended medical school in Chicago and then returned to California to complete my training in internal medicine. I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2002, and I also have a volunteer clinical staff position as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at UC Davis Medical Center.

My Credentials

Medical school Finch University of Health Sciences/the Chicago Medical School, North Chicago, IL
Internship UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA

Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

My Healthcare Practice

I am part of the Hospital Based Services group in the Sacramento Valley. My duties involve hospital duties at both Kaiser Sacramento and Kaiser Roseville medical centers. I do not have clinic hours.

I like hospital work because of the freedom from time constraints – I am not limited by 15-minute appointments. I feel I can deliver better personalized care. Having the ability to schedule my day allows me to spend more time with those who need my help.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

I think the quality that Kaiser Permanente is able to deliver is in large part due to the integrated healthcare we are able to provide. Being a complete system, I know I can count on appropriate care and follow-up when a patient is discharged from our hospital back to the community.

My Outside Interests

I enjoy movies, gadget tinkering, and fly-fishing. One of the reasons for working in the Sacramento valley is the wide availability of fishable waters.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
