Emergency Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

As an emergency medicine physician, I strive to provide our patients with the best acute, emergent care available. With our staff of highly trained physicians, nurses and technicians, I am confident our emergency department will be able to handle any of our patient’s critical needs.

One aspect of Kaiser Permanente that I find, without question, essential in providing excellent acute care is our ability to arrange for immediate follow-up appointments, studies or consults for our patients that will help ensure their ultimate well being. Having been with the Permanente Medical Group since 2001, I believe I am fortunate to have found the perfect environment in which to practice emergency medicine. Having also trained in emergency medicine in Sacramento, I am certain that our group of emergency doctors is the best in the area.

My Credentials

Medical school New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY
Residency UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA
Board certification Emergency Medicine, American Board of Emergency Medicine

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California and received my bachelor’s of science degree from UCLA. I graduated from medical school in New York and was accepted after my third year into the Junior Alpha Omega Alpha honors society, the highest honors available to medical students. After medical school, I returned home to complete my residency.

About Me

My lovely wife and I have been married for four years and have two beautiful girls, a goofy golden retriever, and lots of fish. I am a long-standing eagle scout and have been a scoutmaster for years with the same troop. I am also an avid bass and trout fisherman and also love to golf. In addition, I am a devoted Sacramento Kings and UCLA athletics fan.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
