My goal is to help you Thrive by finding the best medications for you. I believe in Kaiser’s push for high-quality health care. I appreciate the fact that here, physicians are in charge of medical decisions and that quality comes first. Kaiser has been with me all my life. In fact, I was born at Kaiser in San Francisco, and my health care has been taken care of by Kaiser ever since.

I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1989 and went to the University of Pacific School of Pharmacy for three years to become a pharmacist. I’ve worked in many different roles as a pharmacist. I’ve even taught as an assistant professor at the University of the Pacific. However, nothing fits me better than the role that I have now as a primary care pharmacist. Here, I work with patients individually to help them manage their medications and find the best regimen for them. I enjoy the one-on-one contact and the opportunity to use the knowledge that I’ve gained to make my patients' lives better.

I believe pharmacists provide a much needed expertise to the medical team. There are so many medications now that physicians and other health professionals cannot possibly keep up. I use my drug knowledge to help my medical team manage their patients and keep them as healthy as possible.

I am blessed to have a wonderful circle of family and friends, especially my two boys. They have given me a greater appreciation of life and its wonders. I have tried to cherish every moment. In addition, they have also allowed me to understand how fragile life really is...how one thing can be the difference between joy and suffering. And while I can’t wipe away the world’s suffering on my own, I still try to make a difference when I can, one patient at a time.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
