About Me
I was born in Southern California, but came North to go to college at Stanford. I found that I loved the Bay Area, and am happy to be back after a detour to Texas for medical school.
I was in private practice as a Neurologist for 10 years and then joined Kaiser in 2001. I feel that I am giving the best quality of care to my patients since joining Kaiser as I can focus all my energies on my medical practice and not on administrative and business matters as I did in the past. I derive great satisfaction in my work as a physician -- it is always stimulating and often challenging. I make an effort to listen well to my patients, thoroughly evaluate them, explain things clearly, and share in decision making.
I am at the Alameda Clinic on Mondays and Fridays, and at the Oakland Medical Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I almost always see my patients in a timely fashion. Please do your part by arriving early to allow time for parking and registration.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my children, cooking, and practicing martial arts. I look forward to meeting you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
