My Biography

Associate Professor at UCSF: Teaching III-year Medical Students Ambulatory Pediatrics Special Interests/Skills: Developmental Pediatrics (i.e. Autism, ADHD)

My greatest reward in pediatrics is seeing my patients return healthy after their illnesses, rehabilitated after their disability, and more productive and happy in their lives. I have devoted the past 25 years of my life to ensuring their good health and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to develop a long-standing relationship with them and play an important advocative role in their welfare.

I'm enjoying seeing generations over the years, including the grandchildren of the children I have followed. My special interest in autism spectrum disorders has led to many satisfying outcomes in helping others find interventions and proper treatment.

My love of film and singing for more than a decade with Stanford Alumni Acapella has allowed a wonderful balance in my personal life. I'm raising three terrific, unique children who are embarking on adulthood and about to fly with their wings.

My pediatric practice has been a vibrant, exciting ride! As my patients and families grow and mature, I am committed to the challenge of providing a happier, healthier, and safer environment for them. As Herbert Hoover said, "our nation's children are our most precious, valuable natural resource." They are the leaders of tomorrow, but we ensure their well-being today.

Please call to make an appointment prior to arriving in the clinic, as we do not have appointments available for walk-in patients.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
