Welcome to my home page. I hope that through this medium I will be able to better serve you with the most current information.

I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group here at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. I hope that we can always provide the highest possible quality of care and service to you.

Personal Biography

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2000 and I am very glad to be part of it because it promotes excellence in providing quality medical care and services and at the same time encourages physicians to become great leaders in their respective fields. Kaiser Permanente as a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) that committed to total health and treats patients and members as individuals with body, mind and spirit.

I earned my medical degree from the University of the East College of Medicine in Quezon City, Philippines in 1989. I came to the United States in 1992 and pursued my pediatric residency training at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse, NY and completed it in 1995.

After training, I practiced general pediatrics at El Paso, TX, serving indigent and uninsured families and children until I moved to Stockton, CA in the fall of 1999. In 2003, I was appointed Assistant Chief of Pediatrics and took the leadership position in Kaiser Permanente Manteca Pediatrics Department.

My Philosophy of Care

I strongly believe that medical care is a partnership between the physician, the patient and the patient's family. Open communication, mutual respect and cooperation are important keys to a good doctor-patient relationship.

More About Me

When I am not practicing pediatrics, I enjoy traveling to different places with my family and friends and learn the history, culture and geography of these places. Gardening has a special place in my heart and a source of my energy and emotional rejuvenation. Gardening constantly reminds me how amazing our Creator above for allowing us enjoy the beauty of His creation. I have special interest in Japanese maples, evergreen topiaries and conifers and Oriental gardens in general.

I also get involved in charitable activities which include free medical clinic like Neighbors in Health, Thanksgiving Day's Run for the Hungry sponsored by Sacramento Food Bank and Happy Tails, an organization dedicated to finding homes for abandoned and helpless cats. In fact, I got my cat Gypsy Rose, a Siamese-tabby mix from this wonderful shelter. She happens to be a survivor of liver disease and pancreatitis and she is now in great health and continues to be an excellent companion.

My other interests include philately (stamp collecting), walking/ jogging, and watching Jeopardy and World Cup games.
