Welcome to My Home Page!

I am an anesthesiologist and began my inteventional pain specialist training through Harvard University at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and then completed my fellowship at Tufts/Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton, Ma. I will be part of both the pain management and the anesthesia teams here at Kaiser Permanente.

I was born in Taiwan, but came to the U.S. when I was very little. My Spanish is actually a little better then my Taiwanese. So if you know a little bit of either, I welcome you to help me practice. I enjoy watching Japanese Anime (animation techniques), occasionally spend time saving the world via Xbox 360 or Wii (to hone my hand-eye coordination - of course).

I am very excited to join the Kaiser Permanente family. I am proud to be part of a dedicated team of professionals who are here to provide an educated, balanced and compassionate pain management program.

My Practice Philosophy

My desire is to improve the quality of the lives of individuals who suffer acute, chronic and cancer pain. Pain is a condition that affects the daily life of hundreds of thousands of individuals and their families. It is a complex, challenging problem requiring careful investigation of symptoms and sometimes multi-speciality care. We will try our best to improve quality of life and to decrease your pain.

Internship Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, New Rochelle, NY
Residency Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA
Fellowship St. Elizabeth's Medical Center of Boston, Boston, MA

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
