Welcome to the NEPHROLOGY Home Page for Kaiser San Rafael
The Nephrology Department is composed of Dr. Sharina Belani and myself; Case managers Michael Beery, RN and Trudy McEvoy, RN; and Medical Assistant Valerie Kunz. This home page and its associated web sites has been designed to provide helpful medical information for patients concerned about kidney disease. There is also an opportunity to learn more about me. I hope that having such up-to-date information and useful web links is beneficial for you.
The San Rafael Department of Medicine is outstanding at all the sites, and I am proud to be part of this dynamic Medical Group. Our mission is to always provide the highest quality of medical care and service in our community.
My medical practice has been with Kaiser Permanente in Antioch, Martinez, and Walnut Creek; coming to San Rafael in April, 2000.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
