Welcome to my home page. I hope this will help to familiarize you with my background and credentials. I also hope you will find useful information on psychiatric care for you or your loved one.

Why do I want to be Licensed Clinical Social Worker?

As a Social Worker here at Kaiser Permanente I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I am also fluent in Spanish. As a social worker, I have a particular interest in providing effective treatment to patients in an effort to help them make changes in their lives. I consider all aspects of an individual’s life including biological, psychological and social. I think it is especially important for patients to take an active role in their treatment goals.

Why did I choose to practice in Kaiser Permanente?

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2006. Prior to coming to Kaiser Permanente, I worked as a mental health clinician at San Joaquin County Mental Health Service providing crisis intervention services. My experience also includes working with the Spanish speaking population at El Concilio (Counsel for the Spanish Speaking) in Stockton, California.

I am honored to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team because we have adopted an integrative approach with quality patient care as its focus. Kaiser Permanente is dependent upon teamwork. In Tracy, the providers work in multi-disciplinarian team which allows consultation for providers in the area of psychiatry, psychology, social work, marriage family therapy, and chemical dependency. I enjoy being part of a team that offers high quality care to its members.

My Education and Training

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. I earned my Master in Social Work at California State University, Sacramento. I am registered by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCS23362).

My Philosophy of Care

For me, quality of care begins with making careful assessments and addressing biological, psychological and social aspects. It is essential to develop a partnership with my patients in order to determine treatment goals so that full potential can be reached.

Outside of work, I enjoy running behind my son, scrapbook art, and snowboarding.
