I chose internal medicine as a specialty because it offers the unique ability to maintain long term relationships with my patients. Working for Kaiser further enables me to foster these relationships, because I can focus on patient care rather than the mundane tasks of insurance management paperwork.

I feel on important role of being a doctor is that of an educator. There rarely is a magic pill or cure all for most medical problems we encounter. But, what we can provide to patients is knowledge. Hopefully, we can bring an understanding of the nature of their ailments to them which in itself can be therapeutic. Also, by educating patients on the importance of disease prevention, we can impact their long term health. Helping my patients becomes more than simply being a disseminator of drugs.

When I am out of the office, I enjoy playing golf, listening to music, and watching movies. In general, I see patients 5 days a week at Fairfield.

My Credentials

Medical school New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY
Residency Highland General Hospital, Oakland, CA

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
