My Qualifications

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1978. Since then the Radiology Department here has expanded so much ever expanding and improving in quality service and accessibility. Number and high quality of radiologists have also increased with ever so improving and expanding imaging modalities including filmless radiology, ultrasound, CT and MRI. The on call teleradiology has improved access and quality service to clinicians and patients. I am happy to share in all these since 1978.

In addition to English, I also speak Filipino, Visayan and speak a little and understand Spanish.

My Outside Interests

In my spare time I like to relax and go on vacation. I love to use my vacation for educational teaching conferences to improve patient care.

I like to play tennis, basketball and go skiing. I also play chess. My wife and I like to go to the movies, museums and performing arts. We go hiking and biking every now and then. I love to listen to music especially soft rock, country, classical and operas.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
