Ellen Peterson, RN, CPNP, MSN
Regional Cranofacial Clinic Nurse Coordinator
Welcome to the Genetics Multi-Specialty Clinics at Oakland Kaiser!
About Me
I have been practicing as a nurse case manager with the Kaiser Oakland Craniofacial Team (CFC) since 2000. My specific role incorporates supporting and advocating for children and their families, and assisting them in acquiring the services and information that they need to care for their children, which I truly enjoy. Additionally, I work with many talented sub-specialists that are well-represented within the Kaiser Permanente community, in addition to working closely with our excellent pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and geneticists.
I received my Bachelor of Science and RN and Master of Science in Nursing and PNP (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) at the University of California, San Francisco. My first degree was in Biochemistry. I have practiced for many years as a PNP, in general pediatrics, mostly at Kaiser San Francisco and Kaiser Fremont. In this role and now with CFC I have enjoyed working with and supporting families. I find working within the Kaiser environment to be optimal, for both general pediatrics and in a multi-disciplinary framework, for it is well integrated and communication between providers is easily provided. In my personal life, I enjoy being with my family and our friends, music and the outdoors.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
