About Me

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Beth Culler and my practice covers both the outpatient and inpatient settings.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and received my undergraduate degree from Williams College in Massachusetts. I then returned to the University of Toronto for medical school, where I fell in love with the field of Pediatrics.

After medical school, I decided to look for a residency program in a warmer climate and happily came to the Bay Area to complete my training here at Kaiser Oakland. I stayed on at Kaiser Oakland after residency, and officially joined The Permanente Medical Group in July, 2000.

I currently have several roles within the Pediatric Department. I spend the majority of my time seeing patients both in the clinic and in the hospital. In clinic, it is my honor to share a practice with Dr. Roberta Cunningham. If I am unable to see your child, an appointment will be booked with her whenever possible.

In the hospital, I help take care of patients between the ages 0 and 18 who are admitted to our Pediatric Ward. Please click here to learn more about the Pediatric Ward.

In addition to the time I spend caring for children, I direct the Pediatric Residency Training Program at Kaiser Oakland. We have fifteen residents here at any given time training to become superb Pediatricians. You may meet some of the residents in our outpatient clinic, on the pediatric inpatient ward, or in the NICU or PICU.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my home page. Please feel free to give me any comments you have about it.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
