My Healthcare Practice

My goal is to make you feel confident that you are receiving the best care available when you leave my office. I do this by listening to your concerns, giving you as much information as possible about your condition and the treatment options and leaving ample time for questions. I think it is improtant for a patient to be an active participant in treatment decisions.

My practice is a referral only practice, limited to patients with severe retinal problems. After 15 years of surgical and medical retina, I have now limited my practice to non-surgical retina. If you have a retinal problem requiring care from me or one of our other retinal specialists your general ophthalmologist will initiate the referral to the Retina Section.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

The greatest advantage of the Kaiser system is the inner connectedness of the departments and physicians. When a serious problem requires referral to a specialist like myself, it can occur quickly, and information about the patient’s entire health history is available to all involved in the patient’s care.

Personal Information

I grew up in Northern California and returned here after my medical training bacause I think Sacramento is a great place to live. I am married and have two young boys. Currently I work 8:30 am to 2:30 PM Tuesday-Friday so that I can be home with my boys after school. On weekends or vacations my family is often skiing or traveling to someplace where there is water and wind. My husband is a well known kiteboard designer. You can check out his company website at www.litewavedesigns.com.

Be sure to visit the New Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.
