About me

I chose this career for a number of reasons. I was traveling in other parts of the world and realized that medical personnel were always needed. Then I was in a bus accident and had physical therapy myself and decided that was the field for me. I also like being able to help people in very concrete and practical ways.

I like working for Kaiser Permanente because this organization empowers us as professionals to work together as a team to provide quality service to our patients. I appreciate working in an environment where I can share ideas and learn from colleagues so that I can give my patients the best and most up-to-date treatment. My particular areas of clinical interest are manual therapy and exercise.

Some of my personal hobbies include singing, reading, traveling, and volunteering as a camp counselor.

My education and professional experience:

Undergraduate Education BA Sociology from Northeastern University, Boston
Graduate Education MA Physical Therapy from Stanford University
Advanced Training Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Australian Approach, Hayward, CA

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
