My Healthcare Practice

I remember having heart surgery as a child, but the compassionate medical care and support we received as a family is what I remember the most. My doctors and nurses allowed me to see at a young age that outstanding medical care involves much more than prescriptions and procedures.

Providing great medical care involves establishing a connection with the families we serve. I gained such an early and very special perspective on the pediatric patient-doctor relationship that becoming a pediatrician was the most natural career choice for me.

Providing healthcare to children and teenagers allows me to give back this same compassionate, patient-centered care on a daily basis. The rewards of being a pediatrician are truly tremendous for me, both personally and professionally.

Practice Philosophy

Providing compassionate care serves as the foundation for establishing trust and good bedside manner.

My Outside Interests

I enjoy bass fishing and traveling with my husband, as well as reading books about life balance, leadership, and spirituality. I also enjoy being part of the Health and Wellness Team at my church.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
