My Qualifications

I joined the Permanente Medical Group in 1981. Some of my professional interests include urologic oncology, laser surgery including green light laser prostate vaporization and brachytherapy.

My Healthcare Practice

A health related message to my patients: Drink lots of water, exercise regularly, avoid meat and fried or salty foods and snacks. Do not smoke or drink alcohol. Smile a lot!

I believe in listening to my patients and involving them in all decisions. I strongly emphasize education, prevention, and diet in promoting health. I treat the whole you – not just the test results. I practice state of the art medicine. I embrace new technology readily, once I believe it is superior to existing methods. In Urology I see patients from neonates to geriatric age groups. It is a technologically based specialty and very amenable to minimally invasive surgical techniques. It is rewarding in that we can help most patients.

In addition to English I speak fluent Hindi and Punjabi, Gujerati, and Swahili.

My Outside Interests

When I’m not working I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my family. I also love to walk, hike, and am a Sacramento Kings fan. I also volunteer for my church.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
