Welcome to my home page!

My name is Dr. Debra Bright and I'm a Pediatrician at Kaiser Novato. I joined the group in the fall of 2008 and am proud to work with such a dedicated collection of physicians and staff. I decided to pursue a career in pediatrics in part because children are innocent, have not caused their own problems and have the greatest potential for improvement and long term success. As such they deserve the best effort we can muster to support their fullest development.

My practice will focus on both prevention and treatment. When I diagnose a problem, I am not only talking about treatment but how to avoid repeating the problem in the future. My practice style is to include the parents as decision makers when ever possible. Sometimes, the right decision or path of treatment is absolutely clear. Much of the time however, there are at least two options for treatment that will lead to successful recovery from illness. This is when I will lay out information and options that give the parent the opportunity to take part in their child's care and treatment plan.

Thanks for visiting me on the web. Pleease feel free to look around and read some of the valuable content we are able to offer. Kaiser Permanente does a great job providing educational material to prevent illness and injury and to otherwise live healthy lives. On the web you have the opportunity to make appointments, view lab results and order prescription refills. Please take advantage of all we have to offer. I look forward to our next appointment.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
