I was born and raised in Northern California. I still have good memories of my experiences with Kaiser Permanente as a member. Kaiser Permanente has changed significantly since my youth, mostly for the better. After completing my training, I chose to join Kaiser Permanente as a physician. I wanted to be a part of a time-proven, successful healthcare system.

I graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree in physiology. To experience the other half of the country, I entered medical school at Yale University. I missed my family and California during those years. I returned to California to complete my radiology training at the University of California at Los Angeles and University of California at San Francisco.

After my early education in electrical engineering and computer science, I chose to pursue a career in radiology. Diagnostic radiology is closely linked to rapidly developing technologies used to better image the human body and diseases. This blend of medicine and technology is well suited for my background. I am currently the sub-chief of computed tomography (CT scans) at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland

My outside interests include my family, general work around my house, and sports. My children have multiple activities, which accounts for the majority of my weekends. I try to participate in their activities, whenever possible. Any spare time is spent working on countless projects at my house. If I weren’t a doctor, I probably would have become a general contractor. I do landscaping, remodeling, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs. I enjoy playing tennis and skiing during the winter.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
