Welcome to My Home Page !

I have created this site especially for you. I hope the personal information will help you learn about me and convince you to choose me as your ophthalmologist if you haven't already. The website also contains patient educational material to help you understand more about your eye condition.

I am a native New Yorker and spent my early years in New York City before moving to Fresno in 1999. I received my medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. After my residency I returned to Mount Sinai for a fellowship in Glaucoma with Dr. Steven Podos. After I completed my training, I decided to move to greener pastures in California and joined the Kaiser Permanente Ophthalmology Department in Fresno.

My wife and I have learned to call Fresno home. Although New York was an exciting place to grow up in, Fresno is a great place to raise our son Jonah. When we are not chasing Jonah around the house, we enjoy cycling up to the foothills around Fresno.

Practice Philosophy

I am not only a physician at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center but have been a patient as well. In fact my wife, son, mother and father-in-law are all Kaiser Permanente members. My philosophy is to treat my patients as I would want myself and family members to be treated.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
