Welcome to My Internet Home Page
I am Dr. Quach and I am a hospitalist in the Manteca Medical Center. I was born and raised in Vietnam. I immigrated to Stockton, CA with my parents and we started our new lives here in town. When we first arrived, we lived by the Kaiser Permanente Stockton facility on West Lane. My father has been a long-time member of Kaiser Permanente and he is very satisfied with the services Kaiser Permanente provided. Whenever he needs help, the answer is just a phone call away. After finishing my required classes at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, I went to University of California, Davis for my Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. I obtained my medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth, Commonwealth of Dominica. I then completed my residency in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. My medical interests are Endocrinology and Nephrology. Most importantly, my dream of returning to my hometown to serve the community became a reality. During the last thirteen years, even though the exterior of Kaiser Permanente Stockton has changed, but my dream remains the same. The parking lot, which was mostly empty thirteen years ago, is now packed with cars. Patients who come to Kaiser Permanente have increased significantly and their trust for the organization has grown.
I am married to my beautiful wife and we have an adorable daughter. Outside of work, I like spending time with family, playing tennis and fishing. Besides English, I am also fluent in Vietnamese.
My Philosophy of Care
The beauty of medicine is that it changes all the time. It may be the same disease but occurs in different ways. It is inspiring to spend time with my patients and to look into what is going on with them; talking to my patients is far more important than just running some diagnostic tests for them. I believe treating a patient is like an art. In the past, paying a visit to a doctor’s clinic was only to find a medical treatment for the cure; nowadays, apart from coming up with a treatment plan for my patients, it is also necessary for me to understand their background, their religion, their beliefs and their culture in order to treat the patient more effectively. I will consider treating my patient as a whole person and not just prescribing medicine to them.
Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.
