Working at Kaiser Permanente

After completing my residency, I was very eager to concentrate on patient care. Kaiser Permanente offered me a chance to practice high-quality medicine without the business distractions that accompany other practice options. I found it refreshing to work in a system that emphasized the patient's needs above all other considerations.

My Credentials

Medical school Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA
Internship Highland General Hospital, Oakland, CA
Residency Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA

My Colleagues

I work with world-class anesthesiologists and surgeons on a daily basis. We make no compromises in the delivery of quality medical care. Our nurse anesthetist partners are the most experienced and skillful practitioners that you will find anywhere.

On a Personal Note…..

I grew up in Buffalo, New York, and moved to California when I was sixteen years old. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California Davis. I attended medical school and completed my residency in Philadelphia and then returned to Sacramento in 1986 to practice my new profession.

I enjoy living in my adopted hometown of Sacramento. I am an avid skier, cyclist, ice hockey player, and boat enthusiast. I also enjoy travel and music. I feel fortunate to live and practice medicine in northern California.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
