My Qualifications

Welcome to my home page. I am an Orthopaedic hand surgeon specializing in diseases and trauma of the hand. My career started in South Sacramento where I had a successful private practice for 12 years. I have now been with Kaiser Permanente for 5 years and enjoy the freedom of giving the best possible care to my patients.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

  • American Society for Surgery of the Hand
  • American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery

My Credentials

Medical school Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine, Portland, OR
Internship Akron General Medical Center, Akron, OH
Residency Akron General Medical Center, Akron, OH
Fellowship Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, CA
Board certification Orthopedic Surgery, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
Board certification Hand Surgery, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery

My Healthcare Practice

In Sacramento, I have 12 associates in the Orthopaedic Department. Being part of a large professional organization affords easy consulting access. It also allows me a more reliable schedule so I can plan more time with my wife and two daughters. We are very busy with swimming, Ballet dancing, and skiing.

If you would like to learn more about hand surgery you can check the American Society for Surgery of the Hand web site at www.assh.org.

My Outside Interests

In addition to spending time with my family, I squeeze time in to be a Sacramento Kings fan, and I belong to the Sacrament Hand Journal Club.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
