My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am an optometrist. I perform eye examinations, prescribe glasses, diagnose and treat eye diseases.

My Practice Philosophy

I view my patients as more than just a set of eyes. I measure eyes all day long and it amazes me how two people can have very similar eye measurements but have very different needs. Making accurate measurements is the science of my profession and translating those measurements into a useful treatment such as a pair of glasses or an antibiotic eye drop is an art.

My Tenure With Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2001. I have practiced primarily in Folsom since 2004 and plan to remain in Folsom.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

At Kaiser Permanente we are all part of a team. If the need arises I can communicate with any department. This team approach makes it easy to provide proper care without anyone needing to jump through hoops to get referrals to specialists or information from other providers.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
