PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

"I believe that patients deserve prompt service and courteous care delivered in a professional manner and I will care for my patients as I would my family."

ABOUT ME

This is a picture of my two favorite people in the world - my children Ashleigh and Kameron. This picture was taken at a restaurant in New York City. We went there during their Spring vacation and not only ate at great restaurants, but also took in Broadway shows and shopped on 5th Avenue. Ash and Kam are twins and are Seniors at a local high school. Ashleigh, a genuine "Drama Queen", is very active in school plays and will pursue further education in the Performing Arts and maybe even someday become a world famous actress. She is also a fantastic in-line skater and no matter how fast her dad can go, she can always go faster (and she makes it look easy). Kameron is a great athlete and the two of us enjoy surfing, skiing, and other sports together. Competing with him gives me great joy and helps keep me young at heart. Kameron has equal talents in science and the graphic arts and will pursue a degree in architecture.

ADULT PRIMARY CARE MEDICINE

I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group here at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. I hope that we can always provide the highest possible quality of care and service to you.

I am privileged to work with a highly skilled group of health care professionals, all of whom are located together on my unit. Depending on your needs, I call upon my colleagues to assist and advise me on delivering to you the best medical care possible. Besides other physicians, my team members include registered nurse practitioners who provide appointments for conditions such as wellness education, disease prevention and care for anemia, hypertension, muscle strains and thyroid problems. Registered nurses on my team provide care for minor illnesses such as bronchitis, sore throats, ear and eye infections, bladder infections and flu symptoms. I also work with a physical therapist who can help with muscle and bone problems, as well as a clinical health educator who will provide you with direct health education, information and counseling for conditions such as weight management, exercise, diet, diabetes care, and smoking cessation.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
