THRIVE: A Healthy You ...Click here to get connected and learn how to live healthier every day.

Hello and welcome to my website!

First, some things to know about me...
I was born in New York City but moved to the South Bay Area when I was five. I was raised in the Bay Area before going to college in San Diego. It was late in my college career when I decided to pursue a medical career. While at The Chicago Medical School, I dabbled with the idea of going into Sports Medicine. I later realized that I enjoy helping patients with all aspects of their health. I maintain a very active lifestyle with many athletic pursuits like skiing, running half marathons, cycling and playing golf. I am happy to talk with you about working on an exercise program or even your golf handicap.

Next, my role here at Kaiser Permanente:
My career has evolved into a varied form of practice here at Kaiser Permanente, which I enjoy. In addition to my general internal medicine practice, I have a role in both the cardiology and gastrointestinal departments. I am proficient in performing exercise treadmill tests and sigmoidoscopies for those respective departments. I also have been managing a subset of patients with chronic hepatitis C undergoing treatment. For these reasons, I have closed my practice to better care for all of my current patients.

Finally, a word to the wise:
I believe "health" requires a little luck, some hard work, a positive attitude and most importantly an investment in one's self. I can give advice based on my knowlege and training in hopes that people will live healthier lives. However, I feel the patient who assumes responsibility for their own health is the patient who will achieve a healthier, happier life. Hopefully, I can serve as a coach for this goal.

My Credentials

Medical school Finch University of Health Sciences/the Chicago Medical School, North Chicago, IL
Residency Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
