This home page has been designed to introduce me as a Kaiser Provider in the Department of Internal Medicine. In addition, it offers valuable links to Health Education Resources as well as online appointment and medication refill options.

I was raised in Southern California. My education includes a BA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, MSW from San Diego State University, and then off to Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After Medical School my wife and I wanted to return to California to bring our children closer to family. I completed my internship and residency training at UC Davis Medical Center.

I have been a Kaiser patient for the majority of my life. Most of my family have also received care from Kaiser Permanente at one time or another. My residency training included rotations at various Kaiser facilities. With many positive experiences over the years, I was happy to join Kaiser as a Physician. It provided an opportunity to work with a group well established in the community, providing quality evidence based medicine. It also offered complete specialty consultation resources and ongoing attention to patient and professional education.

As a relatively new Provider, I have enjoyed meeting many new and long-term Kaiser members. As my practice continues to grow, I look forward to collaborating with my patients, providing treatment recommendations, education, and access to specialty care, with a goal of enhancing overall wellbeing.

I am in clinic most days and try to make my schedule as open as possible for appointments. Hospital rounding duties, holidays, and a brief vacations now and then will lead to my absence. If you are unable to get an appointment with me, please send me a message and I will return your call as soon as possible or you may be given an appointment with one of my associates.

In my free time, I enjoy watching and participating in a variety of athletic activities (Go Badgers!). More importantly, I spend time with my wife and two small children. We travel the states visiting friends and relatives, or sometimes just play with blocks on the floor.

Be sure to visit the New Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
