About Me
I was born and raised in a diverse suburb of Toronto, Canada. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science at Queen’s University and the University of Toronto. I then attended pharmacy school at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Go Blue! After completing my residency at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, I joined Kaiser as a clinical pharmacist in 2003.
I currently work alongside the MB1 physicians, assisting in providing comprehensive care. I help manage many chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma, GERD, heart failure, hypothyroidism, and latent tuberculosis infection. I also support the Oakland HIV clinic by providing drug information, medication counseling, and by serving as a bridge between medicine and pharmacy.
In my spare time, my wife and I enjoy traveling. We like to explore new places, learning about different cultures and tasting exotic foods. We also like to go hiking in the Bay Area. I like to cook, watch movies, and follow my favorite sports teams: Michigan Football/Basketball and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, and Raptors.
Practice Philosophy
I really enjoy working with our Kaiser Members. My goal is to provide you with all the tools you need to help yourself improve your overall health. This may include education about your chronic condition, designing an exercise regimen, providing basic nutrition information, encouraging a healthy lifestyle, and - my specialty - medication management. I always try to address my patients’ concerns and answer their questions. For example, I believe in thoroughly explaining lab results and sharing target treatment goals.
I work on the 1st floor of the MB building along with Dr. Clement, Dr. Davis, Dr. Hawkins, Dr. Hernandez, Dr. Hsu, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Jones, Dr. Lischner, Dr. Slome, and Dr. Yu.
Please note: A referral from your physician is required.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
