My Biography:

I am a native Californian and grew up in Sacramento. I attended college at the University of California, Davis, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Sciences. In 1987, I received my medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine.

After medical school, I completed my internship and residency in internal medicine at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara. I am a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, and the Santa Clara County Medical Association.

My interests in medicine are primary care and preventive medicine. At Kaiser Milpitas, I have been a full-time staff physician since 1990. I have served on the Resuscitation Committee as well as the Peer Review Committee, and I am currently the unit leader for Medical Unit A.

My wife and I have settled in the area and love the diversity and richness of our locale. We have two young children.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
