Welcome to the Genetics Multi-Specialty Clinics at Oakland Kaiser!

About Me

I received my PhD in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco. My dissertation explored the experiential worlds and everyday demands of living with physical disability for late stage adolescents born with spina bifida. The impetus for doctoral education and research derived from my experiences of working with youth born with spina bifida and their families with the aim of improving biopsychosocial outcomes.

June 2007 will mark my 33rd year as a practicing clinician. I am passionate about achieving excellence in clinical practice as well as benevolence in health policy so as to maximize functioning and potential for children and adults born with disability/chronicity. Passions outside of my professional work include a love of family, good italian food, theatre, and cinema.
