My Biography:
Although I now work in the chemical dependency field I began my career in clinical psychology after twenty years in management and organizational consulting. I received my clinical training at Columbia University in New York and completed my pre-doctoral training in clinical psychology at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. At the VA I developed a great appreciation for patients courageous enough to face their addictions. My prior clinical experience also includes living and working in Singapore for five years where I treated expatriates through my private practice. In addition, I helped organize a taskforce to promote healthy lifestyle choices among teens and adolescents. In my current job I work with adult patients individually and lead therapy groups in the Chemical Dependency Clinic. Also, I consult to in-patient medical providers and their hospitalized patients who have serious substance abuse disorders.
