About Me
Hello, my name is Bill Lum. I am an optometrist. An optometrist diagnoses vision problems and eye disease, prescribes eyeglasses and contact lenses, and prescribes drugs to treat eye disorders. Prior to my employment with Kaiser Permanente, I worked as an optometrist in the Air Force. I was a captain at Kincheloe Air Force Base in Michigan and also worked in private practice in San Francisco for two years.

My Practice Philosophy
As a doctor of optometry, I enjoy the close one-on-one rapport with Kaiser Permanente patients and working with other healthcare workers (especially ophthalmologists) in solving patient problems and needs.
Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente?
Kaiser provides very good continuing eye care from basic visual exams up to specialty (ophthalmology) consults and support from other medical caregivers.
On Personal Note….
My favorite activities outside of work are biking, jogging and listening to classical music.
