Atrial Flutter & Tachycardia

Atrial flutter and atrial tachycardia are a diverse group of atrial tachyarrhythmias that can originate in the right, left, or both atria. While some of these atrial arrhythmias are ablatable, long term and complete elimination of these arrhythmias by catheter ablation can be very difficult. Often antiarrhythmic drug therapy is required to treat these arrhythmias. In some cases trials of different drugs or multi-drug combinations are required for supression of these arrhythmias.
