Adult Drop-In Group On-going Ongoing, drop-in group for patients in crisis and other patients who want to receive feedback, support, and coping options in a small group setting.
Contemplating Change On-going For people who are interested in understanding how Depression, Anxiety, and Substance Abuse are impacting their lives. It is a chance to explore how negative behaviors are affecting patients from achieving personal, career, and/or relationship goals.
Couple’s Workshop 5 weeks Goal is to enhance the components of relationships which may be negatively impacting individual functioning. Works in conjunction with the Health Education’s Couple’s Communication Class but completion or attendance in the Class not mandatory prior to referral.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) 12 weeks A 12 week skills intensive class emphasizing mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, & interpersonal effectiveness.
Decisions Group On-going For patients considering a change regarding use of drugs and/or alcohol.
Depression Group 8 weeks 8 week skills-based group that aids in the management of depression and its symptoms. Group includes homework
Divorce & Separation Group On-going Support for newly divorced & separated men & women.
Emotional Eating Group On-going Psychoeducation & support. Book suggested: “Making Peace with Food” by Susan Kano.
“Feeling Good” Adult Spanish Drop-In Group Twice monthly Finding Support and Hope: Drop-in Coping Group for Spanish speakers.
Gay Men’s Group On-going Psychotherapy group for gay men addressing relationships, issues of coming out, life in a heterosexual world. For depression and anxiety patients.
Generalized Anxiety Group 7 weeks Learn and use methods to reduce anxiety in patients with a diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
Gender Continuum On-going Therapy group for people whose gender identity varies from the norm.
Graduate Depression Group 8 weeks Continuing depression work for people who have completed the entire DEPSY group in the past 2 years
Health and Wellness Series On-going A series of topics presented in a workshop/group format. Pt not expected to attend all topics, only those they want. Can be referred anytime. Helpful while waiting for another group to start, or immediately after intake session. Pt must be able to function and interact appropriately in group setting. A total of 5 topics in the series: Food & Mood; Healthy Aging; Healthy Living Skills; Stress Management; Sleep Hygiene. Group co-pay required.
HIV Support Group 8 weeks A group for pt’s with co-morbid HIV and psychological diagnoses who are seeking support and psychoeducation.
Immediate Treatment of Depression Single session Focus is on symptoms, causes, self-care, etc.
Introduction to Anxiety Single session One time group that covers all types of anxiety, with a focus on fight/flight, breathing, facts vs. fears, causes, and skills.
IOPCBT On-going Designed to be an open and ongoing group for patients who can benefit from CBT and ACT techniques but need a slower pace compared to other offered groups.
Job Problems On-going Group for pts c/o job stress. Provides psychoeducation to community resources avail. To address complaints. Focus on problem solving skills, assertion, & CBT skills.
Lesbian, Bisexual, Queer, Questioning Women’s Group On-going Treatment focusing on coming out and its impact on relationship to self, family, and work.
Life Improvement Group On-going Socialization, recreation therapy, daily living activity and skills.
Managing Anxiety and Panic (MAP) Group 8 weeks Learn and use methods to reduce anxiety in patients with a diagnosis of Panic Disorder.
Medication Consultation and Support Group On-going Education, medication response, symptom management, lifestyle and coping techniques.
Men’s Group On-going Ongoing problem solving/process group for men addressing work, relationship, parenting, and family of origin issues.
Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Thearpy (CBT) 8 weeks Combines CBT & ACT for people with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. May be helpful for graduates of Dilectical Behavior Therapt (DBT) group.
Multi-Family Group On-going Family psychoeducation, problem solving for psychotic spectrum patients.
New Mom’s Group On-going Education and support group for new mothers. O.K. to bring babies and children up to age 2.
OCD Group 8 weeks Exposure based treatment group for Obessive Compulsive Disorder.
Problem Solving Group On-Going Problem solving group.
Seeking Safety 6 months This co-ed group will focus on treating patients with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder symptoms and those who have co-occuring trauma diagnoses and addictions. The group’s focus is on safety. Patients will develop coping skills to feel safe in relationship to self and others. The group will not share details of past trauma. Instead, members will focus on how past trauma impacts their current functioning and be encouraged to create a supportive network outside of the group that includes safe people who support their recovery.
Sixty Plus 12 weeks Support group for older adults. Common themes of retirement adjustment, failing health, widowhood, etc. Emphasis on skill building.
Social Anxiety Group On-going Exposure based group for individuals with social anxiety. Homework required. Please buy book – “10 Simple Solutions to Shyness…” by Martin M. Antony, PhD.
Spanish Anxiety Group 6 weeks Anxiety group for Spanish speaking patients. Focus on “excessive worriers”. Patients with panic attacks also accepted.
Spanish CBT – Treatment of Depression Group 8 weeks Skill based group that helps overcome depression and its symptoms. Group includes homework.
Spanish – Immediate Treatment of Anxiety Single session This session will be psychoeducation on anxiety causes, treatment including breathing relaxations and exercises for immediate relief of the fight or flight response will be explained. Ideally, patients who take this class then progress to the next anxiety group series.
Spanish Relationship Group Twice monthly For all relationship issues, not exclusively couple’s issues.
Ups and Downs On-going Education & support for individuals with diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder
Women’s Group On-going with periodic reviews Psychotherapy support group that explores issues including women’s roles, relationships, phase of life issues, communication, and women’s health. No current domestic violence issues.
