Speech Therapy is available in the hospital with a Physician's order and is appropriate for the assessment and treatment in the following areas:

#1 Swallowing (dysphagia), including tracheostomized patients. #2 Speech-Language/Cognition, including Aphasia, Oral Apraxia, Dysarthria, and Cognitive impairments. #3 Voice Disorders, including patients who are in need of alternative communication devices, i.e. Passy-Muir Valves, Electrolarynx, and communication boards. Speech Therapy is offered Monday through Friday with Saturday coverage for dysphagia only.
