Two great sources of up to date information for international travelers are the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. State Department.
We recommend starting your research with the CDC Destinations website, where you can learn about health issues in the area you plan to visit. Then check out the U.S. Department of State website to see if there are any Current Travel Alerts or Current Travel Warnings posted for your destination. The State Department also has a new site called Students Abroad, with info geared for young adult travelers.
