The Kaiser Department of Radiation Oncology has excellent equipment for the delivery of radiation treatments and the clinical expertise to optimize our patients’ chance of cure while minimizing the risks of side effects.

We have two facilities:

Roseville Radiation Oncology 504 Gibson Drive Roseville, CA 95678 Located right next to the Roseville Galleria shopping mall

Rancho Cordova Radiation Oncology 10725 International Drive Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 Ample, easy parking that is separate from, but shares the parking lot with, the Rancho Cordova Medical Office Building

There is also a facility in South Sacramento located at:

We have four Varian Clinac 23iX linear accelerators (two at each facility) capable of delivering: 3 D Conformal Radiation Therapy (3D CRT) Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) including cone beam CT

Varian GammaMed plus High Dose Rate (HDR) after loader for HDR brachytherapy (temporary implants)

Varian Novalis Tx (expected to be operational in early 2009) for linac-based stereotactic radiosurgery to be located at the Roseville facility

Our group of 7 Radiation Oncologists includes sub-specialty expertise in: Gynecological brachytherapy Prostate permanent seed brachytherapy (a regional program) Stereotactic radiosurgery

We offer enrollment in clinical trials for some clinical situations. We participate primarily in national, multi-institutional, prospective, phase III trials sponsored by organizations such as the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). Ask your radiation oncologist if you qualify for participation in a clinical trial.
