The Eating Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP) was developed for individuals with moderate to severe anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa who are either at high risk or have not responded to lower levels of treatment.
The goals of the EDIOP are:
- To provide evidence-based screening, assessment, and treatment of anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa
- To manage patients efficiently (ie. decrease emergency room visits and hospitalizations)
- To utilize a multi-disciplinary continuum of care model
- To employ and integrate multiple intervention modalities
