Agility and Balance

Snow sports involve quick types of movements and twisting that we don't usually encounter during our regular daily lives or even in our typical work-out routines.

  • Practice side-to-side steps, hops, and jumps.

  • Keep your stomach muscles tight when doing agility exercises.

  • These types of agility exercises also help give our muscles gain a type of strength (eccentric) that has been shown to reduce injury.

  • Balance on one leg with your knee slightly bent. Move the other leg out and in, back and forth.

  • Improving your balance will improve your handling and control on the slopes. This will reduce your risk of crash and injury.
