I believe my background and training as a doctor began with my parents: my father is a minister and my mother is a nurse. I believe that their life philosophy of helping those in need and caring for others’ well-being made an impression on me from an early age and started me on my way to find a career with similar attributes. As for my actual medical training, I completed medical school, a year of internship and then my residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California. After residency, I completed additional fellowship training in interventional spine procedures and pain management at Integrated Pain Management out of Mount Diablo Medical Center in Concord, California.
