After nursing school I moved from San Francisco to Boston and started my first nursing position. Having grown up in California, I loved living in the city of Boston. After a few years, I returned to California to work at Kaiser in Redwood City. After starting my position, I was very happy because there was a strong sense of teamwork and positive energy that was present. I knew this was something to treasure in healthcare and I think that is why I am still working in Redwood City. I have worked at Kaiser for six and one half years and recently completed a Master’s in Public Administration, Health Services Administration from the University of San Francisco.

Healthcare is constantly changing and this presents numerous opportunities. Because I enjoy being a part of changing environments, I started working as a manager. I believe the role of managers and leaders is to stabilize or design processes and to help people to develop through working relationships.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and being outdoors. I like walking, running, and scuba diving. I enjoy going to church, traveling, spending time with my parents, twin brother and his wife, and my younger sister. I also enjoy chocolate, wine, and people who laugh.
