I truly believe that one person CAN make a difference.

I want to be one person who DOES make a difference. If I leave someone feeling better, more inspired and uplifted than when I met them, then I have accomplished something important that is very gratifying.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my license in 1998. My role is as a psychotherapist, counselor who provides support to cancer patients and their families and connects them to resources at Kaiser and in the community. I received a Masters Degree of Social Work in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Arts and Letters with a Certificate in Women’s Studies in 1991, both from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

I have worked at Kaiser since 1994. I am happy to be part of the Redwood City Kaiser Health Care Team. I am interested in all areas of cancer research and treatment. I facilitate our Cancer Support Group and our Breast Cancer Support Group. I understand the great value of these groups and the impact on those who attend them. Alternative and complimentary therapies are also of great interest to me. Therapeutic massage, eclectic psychotherapy techniques, aromatherapy and guided imagery are treatment modalities I am very interested in.

I am married with no children. Have supportive extended family with brothers and sisters and lots of nieces and nephews and wonderful friends who make life enjoyable. I enjoy music and I played music professionally in the past. Now I just do it for fun. I play guitar, percussion instruments and sing. My husband plays the flute. We enjoy swimming, hiking, traveling, and are greatly interested in art and science. I love living in the Bay Area which has such beautiful natural and cultural opportunities to explore. It is an honor to serve our Kaiser Members here in Redwood City.
