Welcome to My Home Page!
Good healthcare requires the collaboration of all the different departments and disciplines while focusing on the patients' needs.
The first 12 years of my professional experience were spent working in a rural community hospital environment. Ten of those years I worked as a director of pharmacy services. After joining Kaiser, I worked mostly in the hospital pharmacy as a staff pharmacist until making the transition to oncology. I started with Kaiser in 1988 and started working in oncology in 1995.
Oncology provides the opportunity to work more closely with patients, nurses and MDs. The concept of an integrated health care system is appealing.
Not surprisingly, I have a special interest in oncology and hematology as well as natural medicines. I am the co-chair of the Kaiser Regional Oncology Pharmacist Committee.
I was born at Stanford Hospital and grew up on the peninsula. My pharmacy school education was at UC San Francisco. I enjoy tennis and do it yourself home improvement projects (DIY).
