Back at work after a delightful weekend at the Carmel Valley. Our home down there is always a joy to visit. The weekend was filled with a homeowner’s meeting at Quail Lodge as well as a beach picnic with friends at the Carmel Beach. Great roaring campfire as well as scrumptious local salmon baked in foil over a Smokey Joe. I am not always a big salmon fan, but I know it is good for you. This was wonderful. Try baking it this way some time and make sure your salmon is super fresh and caught wild(not farmed as farmed fish have more toxins in them).

The dinner was a success, the fog pretty thick but what a wonderful way to spend the evening. The highlight of the evening was that our parked Explorer was side swiped by a local resident who I suspect was intoxicated. She never stopped, but we got her license number and the CHP is now dealing with her. No one hurt, but a good lesson for all of us to not drink and drive!
