Elena Pragin, R.N.
Lead Nurse
Internal Medicine

I was born and raised in Russia. I received my BS in Nursing from Moscow's Medical College in Russia. After I received my Nursing Degree, I went to work in the Medical-Surgical and Recovery Units in a Moscow hospital. In 1992, my family decided to immigrate to the United States. In 1995, I passed the California Board of Vocational Nursing exam and received my LVN license. I joined Kaiser Permanente in the Mountain View Medical Office Building in 1996. In 1999, I passed the California Board of Registered Nursing exam and received my RN license. Shortly after receiving my RN license, I decided to go to Kaiser Santa Theresa Hospital, where I was able to take care of acutely sick patients and patients who were on life support systems. I worked in the Critical Care Unit for two years, and then I decided that I wanted to come back "home" to Kaiser Mountain View, where I can apply my knowledge in Health Maintenance and Preventative Care.

I am married and have two sons, two grandsons, and one shi-tzu dog named Bruce Lee. I am fluent in Russian. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling, and taking care of my grandchildren.
