Here are a few guidelines.
If You Would Like to Communicate by Email:
1. Put you name and medical record number in the subject line.
2. Please be concise.
3. Be aware that I may save emails I send and receive in your medical chart.
4. Do not send any "spam" or emails unrelated to your health care.
5. Expect a reasonable turn around time (about 24-48 hours), especially if I need to obtain your medical chart.
6. Please be aware that e-mail communication is for non-urgent messages only.

Instead of using email, please call (650) 903-3020:
1. For urgent messages that need to be answered promptly.
2. For personal information - do not assume e-mail is confidential!
3. When you do not get a response within the designated time frame (about 24-48 hours) - I may be away and currently do not have a mechanism to notify "emailers" that I'm out of the office.
4. For appointment requests.
