1. Keep head elevated 60 degrees for the first 3 days.

2. Full liquid diet.

3. You should have a set of wire cutters that were sent home with you from the hospital. These are to be used if you are having difficulty breathing and come to the emergency room immediately.

4. Oral care with 1/2 strength peroxide or antibacterial mouthwash after meals.

5. Purchase orthodontic wax to place on any wires that are cutting your lips or gums.
